The Software Quality Assurance Professional (Distance) program introduces the apprentice to the theories and practices of software application testing. Apprentices are introduced to the overall process of creating and testing software applications from conception through completion. The apprentice will gain an understanding of the foundational processes, methodologies and tools employed in the development and testing of commercial grade software systems and applications.

Apprentices will learn the fundaments of software quality assurance, control, and testing through hands-on experiences creating and developing software quality test plans and test cases; executing and administering test cases according to plan; and appropriately documenting and reporting software application anomalies and defects.
